Who should apply?

Anyone who is looking to improve as an angel investor in tech startups should apply. You might have started a company, worked at a fast growing startup or somewhere larger. You should be excited about backing the next wave of entrepreneurs.

Do I need to be an accredited investor to apply?

No. While investing in startups requires you be accredited, you don't need to be an accredited investor to take part in this program.

Do I need to have made angel investments before?

No, but you should be ready to start investing today. While most participants will have made upwards of a handful of investments, we also welcome those who are passionate about supporting startups and excited to make their first investment.

Where are the sessions held?

All the sessions will be held in-person at First Round's San Francisco office.

When are the in-person sessions?

This fall's San Francisco cohort includes six evening sessions on 9/25, 10/10,10/23, 11/6, 11/20 and 12/4.

What if I can't make all the sessions?

We strongly encourage everyone to attend all sessions. We ask about this in the application and it will be a deciding factor.

Do I receive any investment capital as part of being in the program?

This program is focused entirely on education and community. We will not be providing capital to participants.

When do applications close?

Applications for our Fall 2019 cohort in San Francisco are now closed.
