FAQ

Who should apply?
Anyone who is looking to improve as an angel investor in tech startups should apply. You might have started a company, worked at a fast growing startup or somewhere larger. You should be excited about backing the next wave of entrepreneurs.
Do I need to be an accredited investor to apply?
No. While investing in startups requires you be accredited, you don't need to be an accredited investor to take part in this program.
Do I need to have made angel investments before?
No, but you should be ready to start investing today. While most participants will have made upwards of a handful of investments, we also welcome those who are passionate about supporting startups and excited to make their first investment.
Can I apply if I'm not based in San Francisco or New York?
Yes! Angel Track is now 100% remote. After the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic made it clear that intimate in-person gatherings were a no-go, we retooled the program to transition to our newly remote world, rethinking some of our sessions and introducing new ways for this cohort to stay connected. While this upended our plans, it also brought an unexpected benefit. Previous Angel Track sessions were in-person and run out of our office locations in New York and San Francisco. Now running the program remotely, we're excited for the chance to get to know and support more emerging angel investors outside of existing centers of power in tech.
When are the Fall 2020 sessions?
The Fall 2020 cohort includes 9 evening sessions over 9 weeks, each running approximately two hours and timed to best accommodate U.S. time zones. The sessions will be held on the following Tuesdays: 9/22, 9/29, 10/6, 10/13, 10/20, 10/27, 11/3, 11/10, 11/17.
What if I can't make all the sessions?
We strongly encourage everyone to attend all sessions. We ask about this in the application and it will be a deciding factor.
Do I receive any investment capital as part of being in the program?
This program is focused entirely on education and community. We will not be providing capital to participants.
When do applications close?
Applications for our fall 2020 cohort are currently closed.
