The Curriculum

Over the course of the program, some the industry's most experienced and successful angel and venture investors from both coasts will help angel track members:

  • Develop a personal investment strategy
  • Craft decision-making frameworks for early stage investing
  • Find the best opportunities in your network
  • Build a personal brand as an angel investor
  • Think about market size
  • Understand founder potential

In previous cohorts, we've welcomed world-class investors and entrepreneurs to share actionable insights into their investing journey, advice for emerging angels, and the relationships, strategies, and founders that have shaped their careers.

Who should apply?
Anyone who is looking to improve as an angel investor in tech startups should apply. You might have started a company, worked at a fast growing startup or somewhere larger. You should be excited about backing the next wave of entrepreneurs.
Do I need to be an accredited investor to apply?
No. While investing in startups requires you be accredited, you don't need to be an accredited investor to take part in this program.
Do I need to have made angel investments before?
We're seeking the most promising founders and operators at both early and late-stage tech companies looking to back the next wave of entrepreneurs. Most people who join the cohort have made between 5-15 investments — but we primarily look for people who are at an inflection point in their investing journey and are eager to support founders with more than just a check. At this point, Angel Track is not designed for folks who are looking to make their first or second angel investment.
Can I apply if I'm not based in San Francisco or New York?
While the core program will be conducted over Zoom, we will bring Angel Track cohort members together in-person in San Francisco and New York to build relationships over dinners and small group interactions. We’re also working on some in-person electives for our alumni. We find that building relationships is more effective in person so we will give preference to applicants who are in San Francisco and New York, but will still welcome a handful of members in other locations.
What if I can't make all the sessions?
Angel Track alumni say that the best parts of the program is the knowledge they gain and the relationships they build by joining the community. We strongly encourage everyone to attend all sessions. Before we make our selections for the cohort, we will ask our finalists if they are aware of a conflict before the Spring 2023 program kicks off. In general, if you need to skip more than one session, we ask that you do not join Angel Track.
Do I receive any investment capital as part of being in the program?
This program is focused entirely on education and community. We will not be providing capital to participants.
